Why We're Doing This

A LITTLE KINDNESS CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

I have always believed that women deserve to feel seen, supported, and valued. My work has given me the privilege of helping women rediscover confidence and see themselves differently. But supporting women doesn't stop in my studio.

This event is my way of bringing women in our community together to support other women who may be facing one of the most difficult chapters of their lives.

Throughout this campaign, we're collecting much-needed personal care items for our local YWCA and the women and families they serve.

Many people in our community may not know what the YWCA represents -

It is an amazing organization that works to support the women of our community.

The YWCA provides safety, support and opportunities for women and families through, housing, counseling, advocacy, and programs that build stronger, healthier communities. Their domestic violence services help survivors find safety, healing and hope.

A BRIEF HISTORY

Founded in New York City in 1858, the YWCA began as an organization focused on supporting working women by providing safe housing, recreation, education, and opportunities for personal and professional development. As more women entered the workforce during the Industrial Revolution, the need for safe and affordable resources grew, and YWCA branches quickly spread throughout cities, factories, and college campuses across the country. What began as a Protestant organization eventually grew into a global movement dedicated to supporting women and advancing equality. Today, the YWCA continues that legacy by working in communities across the country to empower women, eliminate racism, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
